Hygiene Treatments

We offer tailored hygiene treatment to all our patients, in a calm, gentle, anxiety free environment.

Here at Dental Health Club all our appointments are patient led, building the foundations for optimal treatment outcomes and providing you with a long term care plan.

Orthodontic Patients

Our team of clinicians are here to stabilise and optimise your gum health to ensure the best possible outcomes for your orthodontic treatment. Before orthodontic treatment begins, your gums and supporting bone need to be strong and free from inflammation.

Composite Bonding Maintenance

Patients interested in composite bonding should ensure they are in optimal dental health before undergoing treatment. This means having healthy gums and no existing decay.

Dental Implant Maintenance

Research indicates that about 50% of implants experience peri-mucositis, and around 20% may develop peri-implantitis, which, if untreated, can lead to implant loss. Fortunately, studies show that patients receiving regular hygiene support are significantly less likely to encounter these issues.

We have implemented a new protocol that is designed as an intermediate stage between a General Dental Practitioner (GDP) assessment and a full specialist consultation.

Our STAR (Specialist-Led Treatment Accessed Remotely) pathway aims to increase patient access to specialist services whilst offering a more cost effective referral pathway.

Patients referred to the STAR pathway will undergo a detailed assessment that has been formulated by our in house specialist Dr Paul Renton Harper. The assessment details will then be reviewed remotely by our specialist and a full written case summary and treatment plan will be written and sent to the referred patient. Dr Harper will also speak with the patient remotely regarding their care and ensure that they are on board with their prescribed treatment plan that has been devised for our primary care team.

Upon completion of the treatment plan, a review appointment will confirm the level of success and response to the treatment provided. Dr Harper will be responsible for the final diagnosis and maintenance pathway moving forwards and if the patient has not responded has anticipated a further plan.

It is worthy of note that following the STAR pathway, non responding patients may still require further specialist treatment non- remotely and in house. Further to this, if treatment is deemed to be beyond the skillset of the primary care team, the patient may require a face to face consultation.
